Therapeutic dentistry includes the prevention and treatment of tooth decay, granuloma, pulpitis, pаrodontitis, or periodontitis.
For our teeth to be white and healthy, it is necessary to clean them twice a day with a brush and toothpaste. However, daily cleaning does not solve all the oral cavity problems, so it is essential to follow the dentist's preventive visits twice a year.
Thanks to regular dentist visits, good dental hygiene, and good dental habits, problems in the oral cavity can be minimized. For this reason, we advise our patients to visit their dentist, not only to monitor the condition of their teeth, but also to receive competent advice on the most effective ways to maintain good oral and dental health.
Tooth decay is the most common disease that leads to the destruction of the teeth' hard tissues. The susceptibility of teeth to tooth decay depends on diet, level of oral hygiene, and individual resistance.
Symptoms in the early stages of tooth decay are darker or lighter spots between the teeth or the tooth's chewing surface. When the process is advanced, pain is felt in hot, cold, sweet, pressure on the tooth, etc., and when the front teeth are affected, the aesthetic appearance of the face is disturbed.
Tooth decay treatment occurs in one visit, but there are cases when it comes to deep tooth decay which require several visits before it is completed. Anesthesia is applied, the affected part of the tooth is cleaned, and exact restoration of the tooth structures such as shape, color, and size is performed by obturation (filling).
The obturation (filling) can be made directly in the patient's mouth from photopolymer or other material in a dental laboratory (photopolymer inserts), porcelain inserts (inlays, onlays, overlays), cast inserts (metal) according to the indications, the assessment of your dentist and your desire.
The methods of conservative dentistry can be successfully used to restore fractured dental crowns with photo composite, aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth with abnormal enamel or dentin (enamel, dentinal dysplasia) other defects of the dental crown.
